Vitamin and mineral content of aloe vera

Aloe vera offers a variety of vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, enzymes, saponins, and amino acids and overall supports the body’s cleansing and regeneration.

Aloe vera is high in vitamin C and selenium, two important nutrients which help prevents diseases such as cancer and hog blood pressure. Vitamin C was long ago known to prevent scurvy.

Scientists found that vitamin C in aloe vera reduced the severity of chemical hepatocarcinogenesis in rats. 

Aloe vera also contains moderate amounts of sodium, vitamin A and niacin. Sodium can help prevent calcium deposits in the joints and may be good for diabetes who often lacking in sodium.

Aloe vera has small amounts of calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, iron, zinc, manganese and B-complex.

The content of aloe vera also includes trace amounts of copper, B2 and lecithin.
